SATURDAY, March 6th, 2010

Saturday Semi-Finals:

(W) Spencer Massey (Bexar Waste Dragster) 0.084 / 8.508 / 108.25

(L) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster)
0.173 / 10.949 / 90.56

7:01 p.m. This rapidly turned into a pedaling contest, both drivers on and off the throttle a couple times. Massey got more of a bite and more m,omentum early in the process to take the lead and hold it.

Bruce Litton's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-3.492, 660ft-5.775/095.52 mph, 1,000ft-8.485.
Spencer Massey's incremental times: 60ft-0.961 sec., 330ft-3.194, 660ft-4.963/144.99 mph, 1,000ft-6.631.

Saturday Consolation Round:

(W) Bobby Lagana Jr. (POW-MIA Dragster)
0.095 / 4.817 / 304.98

(L) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster)
0.121 / 8.437 / 97.30

10:01 p.m. This is the consolation race for Top Fuel - and was moved up to give them slightly warmer track conditions because it is colling off rapidly tonight.

Litton once again had traction problems, getting very sidways trying to save the run. Meanwhile, Lagana showed how far his team has come since the ramp truck days, making a picture-perfect run, the first Top Fuel team to get the track figured out. Bobby Lagana Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.894 sec., 330ft-2.294, 660ft-3.274/258.54 mph, 1,000ft-4.094.

SUNDAY, March 7th, 2010

Sunday Semi-Finals:

(W) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster)
0.107 / 4.753 / 314.13

(L) Del Cox Jr. (RG Industries Dragster)
0.109 / 5.085 / 247.72

1:26 p.m. This was good-old-fashioned drag race, just about even at the start and the two cars a car length apart for much of the race. But Litton 's car made a strong charge on the top end, running low ET and top speed of the weekend, while Cox's mount started mixing the cylinders up and falling back.

Sunday Finals:

(W) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster)
0.092 / 4.741 / 314.79

(L) Bobby Lagana Jr. (POW-MIA Dragster)
0.094 / 4.822 / 308.95

4:28 p.m. Normally, this would be the final race of the day, but because of the Top Dragster blowover, their final round will be the last race of the day.

Lagana and Litton are good friends, except, of course, when they line up against each other on the racetrack. So far this season, Lagana has been the man to beat and it has only happened once, so he was trying to raise his round win mark for the season to seven-for-eight.

Today was Litton's day and he showed it by leaving right with Lagana, then pulling ahead and staying there, running low ET of the weekend. Bruce Litton's incremental margins: 60ft(0.045), 330 ft(0.067), 660ft(0.065), 1,000ft(0.073). MOV: 0.0835 seconds (approximately 38 feet).
