Saturday, June 26th, 2010 Saturday Semi-Finals: (W) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster) (L) Tim Boychuk (Paton Racing Dragster) 6:59 p.m. Local star Boychuk joins the four usual players in the Top Fuel rotation this weekend and draws a tough first-round opponent - points-leader Litton. Neither driver had the clutch tuneup to tame the elusive racing surface tonight and both were up in smoke before reaching the 330-foot marker. Litton managed to get hooked up sooner, though neither driver ever got smoke-free the rest of the way. Saturday Consolation Round : (W) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster) *** Unopposed *** 11:07 p.m. LItton got the bye run this round, will be able to make a tuning pass for tomorrow. He'll keep this one, the car was straight and smooth, the header flames tall and steady. Bruce Litton's incremental times: 60ft-0.875 sec., 330ft-2.289, 660ft-3.326/245.32 mph, 1,000ft-4.178.
Sunday, June 27th, 2010 Sunday Semi-Finals: (W) Del Cox Jr. (RG Industries Dragster) (L) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster) 1:25 p.m. Litton had traction problems in round one yesterday and had the same problem today, losing traction before half track after leading to that point. Del Cox Jr.'s incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.023), 330 ft(-0.023), 660ft(0.170), 1,000ft(0.444). MOV: 0.7462 seconds (more than 100 feet). Cox also had traction [problems, but further down the track, and that time may not get him into the championship round. Sunday Consolation Round: (W) Bruce Litton (Lucas Oil Dragster) (L) Spencer Massey (AFD Fuels Dragster) 5:00 p.m. Litton hit a dry spell here, shut out of the championship rounds on both days, but he still leads in the points. Massey rattled the tires hard on the launch and the engine went silent. Litton made a run much like his second yesterday, clean and straight, to at least salvage one round win each day.
